Introduced top-notch breast cancer reconstruction techniques in Egypt, including oncoplastic breast surgical procedures and all reconstructive procedures. As a professor of surgical oncology at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University with a vast practical experience at the Institute Gustave-Roussy in Paris, France and the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Dr Omar Z. Youssef is also specifically interested in the transfer and exchange of knowledge, clinical research and training provision to young surgeons in the field of breast surgery. He set up the first oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery service in the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, dedicated at serving breast cancer patients with state of the art surgical treatment.

Prof. Youssef has published in peer reviewed journals, and presented his work in many breast cancer conferences and internationally all over the world.
